Throttle pickup timing (when the cam hits the roller) should be approximatly 4 deg ATDC. To adjsut the pickup timing change the lenghth of the rod by loosening the locknut and turning the knurled nut. Using a regular timing light, boat in water, warmed up, idle timing was 12 degrees ATDC. Spec is 4-6. "Low" tab on was all the way forward (to port).
